The changes will roll out over the coming period and are aimed at curbing misuse of AI-driven phone operations, according to a statement posted by the official Doubao account. Adjustments will include restrictions on activities such as score boosting and incentive farming, tighter limits on interactions with financial applications, and constraints on certain gaming-related use cases. The development team said it is currently engaging in “deep communication” with app developers and service providers. Their goal, they noted, is to establish clearer and more predictable rules governing AI-assisted interactions—while avoiding blanket restrictions that could undermine users’ legitimate and reasonable use of AI tools. The announcement comes as regulators and industry stakeholders increasingly scrutinize how AI assistants interact with mobile ecosystems, especially in areas where automation could create security, compliance, or fairness risks.
