Baidu's Robotaxi Resumes Services in UAE's Two Cities
Baidu's autonomous driving service platform Robotaxi has resumed its fully driverless testing and operational services in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, according to informed sources.
The development in the two cities indicates a further acceleration of its overseas fully driverless deployment process, laying the foundation for large-scale commercial operations in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Public information shows that Robotaxi obtained the first fully driverless testing permit in Dubai in January 2026 and launched its first overseas autonomous driving operation base. In the same month, Robotaxi officially opened its fully driverless ride-hailing services to the public in Abu Dhabi, another key city in the UAE. To date, Robotaxi's driverless services have been launched in 26 cities worldwide, with a total of over 20 million orders.
