NextFin News -- International Energy Agency (IEA) Executive Director Fatih Birol said on Monday that the scale of destruction in the ongoing conflict in the Middle East has surpassed previous energy crises, with the region losing an estimated 11 million barrels of crude oil per day. At least 40 energy facilities have been damaged or destroyed, threatening global crude oil supplies and raising fears of long-term shortages even if the conflict ends soon, the International Energy Agency (IEA) has warned.
