Cook Reiterates China's Significance to Apple's Supply Chain
NextFin News -- Apple CEO Tim Cook has emphasized the importance of the Chinese market and supply chain to Apple during his meeting with a senior Chinese official. During a meeting with Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao, both sides exchanged views on Sino-U.S. economic and trade relations, as well as Apple's operations and development in China. China remains our most significant base in the global supply chain. Among our top 100 core suppliers worldwide, 80 are located in China. We place great importance on high-quality development, have thoroughly studied relevant plans, and based on that, we strategize and adjust our investments to ensure alignment, said Cook. Cook is in Beijing to preside the March 22-23 China Development Forum 2026 in Beijing as a Chairperson. He arrived in Beijing a few days prior to the forum.
