Alibaba's T-Head Outlines AI Chip Roadmap After Shipping 560,000 Zhenwu Processors
NextFin News (HANGZHOU) -- Alibaba Group's semiconductor subsidiary T-Head officially unveiled its multi-year silicon roadmap at the 2026 Alibaba Cloud Summit, detailing plans to release its next-generation Zhenwu V900 and Zhenwu J900 AI processors over the next two years. The upcoming processors are designed on a Unified Transformer (UiT) architecture to support complex multi-modal workloads and agentic AI systems. According to company data, cumulative shipments of the Zhenwu processor family have surpassed 560,000 units, servicing more than 400 enterprise clients across 20 industries, including China Telecom, FAW Group, and SPD Bank. The roadmap announcement coincided with the launch of the Zhenwu M890 accelerator, as Alibaba accelerates the expansion of its domestic infrastructure stack to bypass ongoing foreign semiconductor restrictions.
