Zhejiang Humanoid Robotics Innovator Debuts Flexible Manufacturing Solution for Automakers
TMTPOST — Zhejiang Humanoid Robotics Innovation Center officially launched a full-stack flexible assembly solution for the automotive sector on Tuesday, providing a rapid deployment framework to automate complex vehicle production lines. Developed using the center’s proprietary SPIRE embodied AI architecture, the system achieves a robotic end-effector positioning accuracy of $\pm0.02\text{ mm}$ and a final assembly tolerance of $0.03\text{ mm}$. The engineering setup allows non-standard production lines to be fully reconfigured in as little as 24 hours, dramatically cutting down the prolonged downtime and heavy capital expenditures typically required for factory retrofits. This technological rollout addresses a critical operational bottleneck in modern smart manufacturing, where traditional fixed automation struggles with short vehicle product cycles and rising factory labor shortages. By bringing high-precision, adaptive intelligence directly to the factory floor, robotics developers are aiming to slash assembly error rates and give automakers the agility to pivot production layouts almost instantly.
