JD.com and Huilun Tech Partner to Commercialize Humanoid Robots
TMTPOST — E-commerce giant JD.com and robotics developer Huilun Tech signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement on Monday to accelerate the commercial deployment and volume distribution of embodied AI hardware. The industrial partnership establishes a joint technical verification pipeline to integrate Huilun Tech's GoMate Mini security patrol robots, axial flux motors, and dexterous mechanical hands directly into JD.com’s retail and logistics channels. In tandem with retail infrastructure testing, the engineering divisions of both companies will integrate JD.com's proprietary JoyInside software framework and JoyAI large language models to optimize real-time human-computer interaction, autonomous navigational logic, and situational scene comprehension. The commercial arrangement marks the first major retail distribution milestone for Guangzhou-based Huilun Tech since its independent market takeoff as an enterprise incubated by state-backed automaker GAC Group. Industrial logistics and retail ecosystems on the Chinese mainland are pivoting rapidly to absorb advanced automation components as major internet conglomerates seek deep structural efficiency gains amid compressed consumer spending margins. By embedding sophisticated machine-learning hardware directly into fulfillment hubs, commercial enterprise operators aim to offset elevating labor costs while reducing inventory transit overhead. Consequently, specialized robotics developers are prioritizing immediate marketplace monetization and scalable supply chain integration over prolonged laboratory testing to capture sustained corporate capital allocation.
