Dewu Debuts AI Authentication Robot at WAIC
TMTPOST — Dewu App on Friday unveiled its first AI authentication robot, developed in partnership with Qianjue Robotics, during the opening of the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference in Shanghai. The system uses a robotic arm to handle sneakers while high-resolution cameras capture detailed images of the upper, midsole, insole, accessories, and box. Image recognition technology extracts key features and transmits them in real time to the AI core for pixel-level comparison. An authentication report is generated automatically within five seconds. Authentication has long served as a critical bottleneck in the resale market for high-value sneakers on the Chinese mainland. By deploying physical AI systems capable of rapid, consistent verification, platforms like Dewu are addressing trust issues that have historically limited transaction volumes in secondary markets. This development points to a wider industry shift in which hardware-enabled artificial intelligence increasingly underpins core operational processes, potentially raising standards across authenticity-dependent categories while lowering reliance on manual expert review.
