Shiyue Tech Secures Tens of Millions of Yuan in Angel Funding Round
TMTPOST — Dexterous hand and haptic sensing developer Shiyue Tech completed an angel financing round of tens of millions of yuan on Wednesday to advance mass production lines and accelerate core sensor technology iterations.
The early-stage funding round was solely backed by Changzhou Zhirong Changyou Equity Investment Partnership, a fund managed by Changyou Technology. Capital from the transaction will be directed toward three primary operational objectives: scaling commercial production of the Lumi-Dex dexterous robotic hand, iterating the technical capabilities of the Lumi-Tac visual-tactile sensor series, and expanding engineering and research talent across its core development teams.
To achieve fine-motor precision in real-world environments, advanced robotics manufacturers are placing high-sensitivity haptic feedback and multi-articulated hands at the center of next-generation hardware designs. While basic robotic manipulators suffice for simple pick-and-place industrial tasks, human-like dexterity and high-resolution tactile perception are mandatory for complex assembly, logistics sorting, and humanoid operations. Strategic capital injections into early-stage tactile sensing pioneers underscore the broader industry push to resolve hardware bottlenecks and achieve reliable physical manipulation across industrial and service robotics.
