Ractigen Therapeutics Raises Over $27 Million for RNA Therapeutics
TMTPOST — Clinical-stage biotechnology developer Ractigen Therapeutics secured over 200 million yuan ($27.6 million) in a new financing round on Wednesday to accelerate clinical development of its core small activating RNA pipeline. National Small and Medium Enterprises Development Fund, managed by National Venture Capital, led the investment round with participation from IDG Capital, China Everbright Limited, Jinyu Maowu, Puying Group, and Suzhou High-Tech Financial Holding. Existing backer Longmen Capital provided follow-on equity, marking its third consecutive investment in the biopharmaceutical firm. Ractigen will deploy the capital to advance early and mid-stage clinical trials for its proprietary RNA activation platform, targeting underserved chronic diseases and rare genetic disorders. Private capital allocation toward specialized nucleic acid platforms highlights sustained investment in novel therapeutic modalities across the Chinese mainland. Venture capital funds and state-backed healthcare vehicles are prioritizing biopharmaceutical developers capable of translating platform technologies into clinical-stage assets to expand targeted drug delivery capabilities and secure global licensing partnerships.
