IAT Joins Foxconn to Launch Robot Turn-Key Platform
TMTPOST — IAT Automobile Technology and Foxconn on Thursday released an embodied-intelligence Turn-Key platform for robots at the ESCC conference.
The platform spans five segments—research and development, production, training, sales and investment—and transplants IAT’s established automotive engineering methods plus precision manufacturing systems into robotics. It targets the persistent engineering bottlenecks that currently block embodied-intelligence projects from moving beyond prototypes into reliable volume production. IAT, the A-share-listed independent vehicle-design specialist (300825.SZ), already operates a dedicated robot subsidiary focused on integrated design and simulation platforms; the new joint offering packages those capabilities with Foxconn’s manufacturing scale into a single end-to-end service.
Foxconn’s participation supplies the production depth needed to convert the platform’s design and training modules into factory-ready output, while IAT contributes the full-stack engineering discipline it has applied across nearly 500 vehicle programs for more than 80 clients. The combination directly addresses capital and timeline pressures facing robot developers who lack either automotive-grade process control or high-volume manufacturing partners, offering a concrete route from laboratory validation to commercial deployment without requiring each entrant to rebuild the entire industrial stack.
