China Foreign Investment Inflows Fall 6.2% in First Seven Months
TMTPOST — China’s Ministry of Commerce reported Friday that the country established 37,711 new foreign-invested enterprises in the first seven months of 2026, a 4.4 percent increase from a year earlier. Actual use of foreign capital totaled 438.33 billion yuan, down 6.2 percent year on year. Manufacturing accounted for 109.43 billion yuan of the inflows, while the services sector drew 319.95 billion yuan. High-technology industries attracted 182.31 billion yuan, up 32.7 percent, representing 41.6 percent of total actual foreign investment and an increase of 12.2 percentage points from the same period last year.
