TMTPOST — Autonomous-driving company WeRide Inc. said Monday it has been selected for inclusion in the Hong Kong Stock Exchange Tech 100 Index following the exchange’s quarterly review. The adjustment will be implemented after the market close on Sept. 11 and take effect on Sept. 14. WeRide, listed on both Nasdaq under the ticker WRD and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange under 0800, is among 10 companies added to the index, which also include fellow robotaxi firm Pony AI and several other AI-related names. The quarterly reshuffle follows recent methodology enhancements by Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing aimed at increasing the index’s exposure to emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence.
