TMTPOST -- Volkswagen China has received complaints regarding Xingyu Lighting Co. Ltd. encouraging mass resignations among recent graduates. A spokesperson for Volkswagen China said on Tuesday that Volkswagen Group takes these complaints involving its supplier very seriously and has initiated a special investigation. The investigation is currently underway, added the spokesperson. "Respecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers is a core principle that Volkswagen Group adheres to in all its business activities. This principle is also reflected in the management of our supply chain system, where we require that all fundamental values and rights be fully protected," emphasized Volkswagen China. Meanwhile, Mercedes-Benz also accepted the complaint from recent graduates who claimed that they were dismissed illegally.
