J&T Express Sets up Regional Headquarters in Saudi Arabia
J&T Express has forged a partnership with the Saudi government, under which it will work, along with venture capital fund eWTP Arabia Capital and other partners, to build the largest smart logistics hub of the region in the next decade.

BEIJING, February 2 (TMTPOST)— Chinese logistic service provider J&T Express announced on Tuesday that it will set up its regional headquarters for the MENA (the Middle East and North Africa) region in Saudi Arabia’s capital city Riyadh.

J&T Express has formed a partnership with the Saudi government, under which it will work with venture capital fund eWTP Arabia Capital and other partners to build a tech-driven logistics park in Saudi Arabia in the next ten years. The China-based logistics company hopes to develop the planned smart logistics center into the largest one in the MENA.

The company sees Saudi Arabia as a geographical point of great economic importance as it is at the crossroads of Asia, Africa and Europe. J&TExpress is determined to play an important role in Saudi Arabia’s national development plan Vision 2030, which aims to diversify its economy away from the oil industry. Under the partnership, Saudi Arabia will provide J&T Logistics with the necessary infrastructure and policy support in an effort to stimulate the development of its retail and manufacturing sectors.

“Saudi Arabia has embarked on a major program of economic diversification in line with Saudi Vision 2030, and this partnership with J&T Express and eWTP Arabia is a significant milestone in creating new areas of business for the Kingdom,” Saudi Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih said. “We are very pleased to welcome J&T to Saudi Arabia and to support their investment in the Kingdom.”

J&T Express is expected to facilitate the development of e-commerce, smart logistics, manufacturing and retail in Saudi Arabia and help local enterprises to go digital.

The logistics park that J&T Express pledges to build will include top-notch Sorting Centers, Auto Warehouse Systems, Air Cargo Terminals, E-commerce Industry Parks and Modern Industry Parks, which are expected to provide tech-driven services for its clients in the future. J&TExpress, eWTP Arabia Capital and other partners vow to invest up to billions of dollars in the platform in the future ten years.

J&T Express started to provide express services in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates in January 2022. The company has established its own country-wide logistic networks and warehouse systems in both countries.

Founded in 2015 in Shanghai, China, J&T Express is a logistics company dedicated to international operation. The company has built logistic networks in ten countries to satisfy the growing demand from local customers and cross-border e-commerce. J&T Express currently has logistic networks in Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Cambodia, Singapore, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
