BEIJING, May 18 (TMTPOST) — Chinese smartphone brand OnePlus rolled out its OnePlus Ace Racing on Wednesday at its 618 Launch Conference, starting from 1,999 yuan.

Li Jie, President of OnePlus China, stated at the launch conference that the Ace series is positioned as a performance lineup, which will provide users with powerful performance and exciting gaming experience.

OnePlus Ace Racing adopts a customized SoC Dimensity 8100-MAX. It is said that the SoC has been optimized jointly by OnePlus and MediaTek, which can provide optimization for gaming stability, AI computing performance and video processing capacity in low night settings.

The smartphone model is also equipped with the HyperBoost engine that is powered by a GPA Frame rate stabilizer and O-Sync, delivering improved gaming experience.

 OnePlus Racing has a 6.59-inch LCD display with 120Hz maximum refresh rate and 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut.

The smartphone has a 5,000mAh battery pack with support for 67W fast charging. The 67W system can get from zero to 80% in 29 minutes. OnePlus said that the phone can last for over one day under normal use.

On the front, OnePlus Ace Racing has a 16MP ultra-clear selfie camera. The phone has a trio-camera system on its rear, featuring a 64MP ultra-clear main camera, 8MP ultra wide-angle module (119°) and a 4cm macro lens.

OnePlus Ace Racing adopts an 8-layer diamond cooling system that consists of diamond cooling materials, VC cooling and high-density graphite.

The new smartphone model comes in two colors—gray and blue.

The base model (8GB+128GB) starts from 1,999 yuan while the version with more storage (8GB+256GB) sells from 2,199 yuan. The advanced version (12GB+256GB) is priced at 2,499 yuan.

OnePlus has high hopes for its sales performance on this year’s June 18 shopping festival (618 Festival). Last year, OnePlus achieved sales of over 100 million yuan in one day during the 618 Festival, registering year-on-year growth of 300%. The company might have launched OnePlus Ace Racing to stimulate its sales on June 18. The intention is echoed by the discount promises that were made at the launch conference.
