BEIJING, June 13 (TMTPOST) — Logistic service provider J&T Express is under fire on Chinese social media for delaying payment to its employees.

The news made it to the trending topic chart on Chinese social media Weibo on Sunday.

A spokesperson of J&T Express said that the company is looking into the matter and working to solve the issues as soon as possible.

It was reported that the J&T outlet in Hutangzhen, Changzhou, has been late in paying a number of its employees. The involved payment is around 300,000 yuan. The owner of the J&T outlet was unreachable.

J&T Express’s logistic service is currently unavailable in the area with lots of shipment stuck at the logistic outlet. There is no staff for delivering packages that have been shipped to the outlet.

J&T Express tried to relocate the shipping backblog in Hutangzhen but was met with opposition from the outlet’s employees. “We are not letting them move the shipments away. We are all staying here 24 hours until they pay us,” an employee said. Some customers came to the outlet to look for their packages. Some fresh produces have already been rotten at the outlet.
