Beijing, November 24 (TMTPOST) — Shanghai Disneyland is set to resume operations on Friday with limited daily capacity and Covid-19 prevention measures.
The theme park will reopen at 8:30 a.m. The Toy Story Hotel will also be available for reservation starting from 3 p.m. on the same day, marking the resumption of full operations at the Shanghai Disney Resort. As of November 22, the Disneyland Resort has completed internal rehearsals and fireworks trials. Disney Town, Wishing Star Park and Shanghai Disneyland Hotel resumed operations on November 17.
However, some attractions, live entertainments, restaurants and shops may remain closed temporarily or operate with limited daily capacity to comply with pandemic restrictions. For visitors to the Disneyland Park, proof of negative nucleic acid results within 48 hours will be required. As for visitors to other areas of the Disneyland Resort, the test results are extended to 72 hours. All visitors were required to wear masks while maintaining a safe distance during their visits.
As the city witnessed a rising number of confirmed cases over the past week, the local government on November 22 released measures to further strengthen the health management of people going or returning to Shanghai. A mark indicating a stay of less than five days will be displayed on local Covid-19 QR codes, a system designed to show coronavirus test results in real time. Visitors with such mark will not be allowed into public places, including restaurants, shopping malls or entertainment facilities. The measures became effective starting from November 24.
The Shanghai Disney Resort suspended operations on October 31, as one of the four positive cases confirmed in Pudong New Area was involved with the resort. It remained shut down since then.
