BEIJING, May 6 (TMTPOST) – TwinSolution Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (TwinSolution) has recently concluded a Series B financing round, raising an impressive 160 million yuan. The funding round attracted investments from entities such as SAIC’s Shangqi Capital, Junxin Capital, Jucheng Capital, and Fudan Venture Capital.
The proceeds from this financing round will primarily be used for the research and development of semiconductor 2D/3D MEMS probe cards and LTCC ceramic test substrates, as well as the enhancement of operational management and improvement of the sales system. According to Yin, the founder and CEO of TwinSolution, the company’s annual sales are approaching 200 million yuan, and preparations for an IPO are currently underway.
Established in 2007 and based in Zhangjiang, Shanghai, TwinSolution stands as a pioneer in delivering specialized test interface products and solutions in China’s semiconductor industry. Recognized as one of the prominent global leaders in test socket technology, the company focuses primarily on IC (integrated circuit) testing and related domains, offering an extensive range of products such as ATE test sockets and MEMS chip probes. With a customer base exceeding 600, it serves esteemed manufacturers in the realms of mobile chipsets, memory chips, AI chips, as well as gallium nitride (GaN) and silicon carbide (SiC) wafer foundries.
Yin holds an EMBA degree from the Ivey Business School of Western University in Canada. Prior to joining the company in 2014, he served as the China Sales Manager for Electroglas, a distinguished wafer probing company, and held the position of General Manager at K&S Semiconductor Test Products Division in China. Duriong his work at TwinSolution, he has spearheaded the company’s global expansion by establishing TwinSolution International, Ltd. (TWINUSA) and investing in the creation of GeminiTech, a South Korean company controlled by TwinSolution.
TwinSolution boasts a workforce of over 300 employees currently. It operates two factories located in Suzhou, specializing in test probes, MEMS probes, probe cards, etc. The company has also established two design and research centers in Tianjin and Seoul respectively. In order to extend its global reach, the company has strategically positioned its sales centers in Silicon Valley, the U.S., and Hong Kong, China.
