Following this round of financing, Giga AI plans to accelerate its technological development and market expansion, aiming to lead advancements in world modeling and spatial intelligence.

Asianfin — Giga AI, a Beijing-based spatial intelligence company, announced on Thursday that it has successfully locked up nearly 50 million yuan (US$ 7 million) in angel and angel+ financing in two consecutive rounds.

The investors include prominent firms such as BAIC Investment, Miracle Plus, People’s Capital, among others. Previously, Giga AI raised several million yuan in seed funding from Cherish Capital.

This latest financing brings the total amount raised across three rounds to nearly 100 million yuan. The company expressed that this funding demonstrates the strong recognition from various sectors of industry for its technological innovation, capability for industrial application, and future growth potential.

Following this round of financing, Giga AI plans to accelerate its technological development and market expansion, aiming to lead advancements in world modeling and spatial intelligence.

Giga AI focuses on elevating video generation to a 4D world model, enabling AI models to comprehend, generate, and reason about 4D spaces. This capability holds immense value for content creation in virtual environments such as film, gaming, and the metaverse, as well as for data generation and cognitive reasoning in physical spaces, particularly in autonomous driving and embodied intelligence.

The concept of "spatial intelligence" refers to an individual's ability to accurately perceive and represent visual spaces, a skill that has garnered attention since American psychologist Howard Gardner first defined it in 1905. It is crucial not only for everyday activities but also for artistic, scientific, mathematical, and literary pursuits.

Giga AI aims to position itself as a Chinese counterpart to World Labs, which recently raised $230 million in funding, highlighting the growing interest and investment in spatial intelligence technology.

With an experienced team led by founder and CEO Huang Guan, who holds a PhD in AI from Tsinghua University, Giga AI is poised for significant advancements in both physical and virtual spatial intelligence, promising innovative solutions for a wide range of applications.
