XDream Robotics Secures Million USD Funding to Advance Emotionally Intelligent Companion Robots
Founded in September 2025, XDream raised tens of millions of USD within just two months of its inception.

TMTPOST -- XDream Robotics (Shanghai Chimong Technology), an intelligent robotics startup, recently announced the completion of several consecutive funding rounds, drawing investments from prominent institutions including GL Ventures, Agibot, and Houxue Capital. CYGNUS EQUITY served as the exclusive financial advisor for the deals.

Founded in September 2025, XDream raised tens of millions of USD within just two months of its inception. The latest round will be primarily allocated to the development of the XDream series of companion robots and the expansion of the company’s engineering and research teams.

XDream Robotics focuses on creating intelligent agents imbued with a sense of “vitality.” Its flagship product, designed for both indoor and outdoor use, integrates advanced emotional intelligence and conversational abilities. The robot can naturally perceive and respond to human emotions without relying on complex commands. Chimong Technology emphasizes that only companion robots with genuine emotional awareness can evolve from being mere tools to forming meaningful, human-like connections.

At the core of XDream’s innovation is its “digital brain” cognitive architecture, inspired by the mechanisms of human perception, memory, and reasoning. This dual-layered system, referred to as the Fast Brain/Slow Brain model, enables the robot to process instinctive reactions and immediate feedback through the Fast Brain, while the Slow Brain handles reasoning, decision-making, and trade-offs. Overlaying these cognitive layers with the robot’s personality, memories, and emotions results in behavior that feels authentic and human-like.

This architecture gives XDream companion robots a continuous intrinsic drive and curiosity, allowing them to engage in diverse and proactive interactions. Unlike conventional AI companion hardware, which is largely reactive, XDream robots are capable of autonomous learning and growth, simulating the behaviors of living beings.

The company’s founding team includes cognitive science experts from top global universities and a seasoned robotics hardware team. The founder, a serial entrepreneur whose first startup was acquired by Oracle, brings significant entrepreneurial experience, while the co-founder previously helped establish DreamSky Technology, a publicly listed robotics company.

XDream has already completed its closed-loop cognitive architecture and prototype design. The company plans to begin testing in the first quarter of 2026, with pre-orders opening and mass production scheduled for the third quarter of 2026.
